Slow Cooker Corned Beef & Cabbage

NOTE: This was filmed week one of lock down when we were being told not to wear masks and had no idea if produce was safe to eat. Now we know fresh veggies aren’t going to make you sick, but just clean them for good measure. :)

Cook: 5 hours


Ingredients

  • Slow-Cooker Bag

  • 4 lbs of Corned Beef

  • 2 cups Beef Broth

  • Yellow Onion

  • 2 Carrots (Or 1 Can)

  • 5 Potatoes (Or 2 Cans)

  • Head of Cabbage

  • 1/4 Cup of Parsley

  • 1/4 Tablespoon of Pepper

  • 2 Bay Leaves (Optional)

 

Directions

  • Place your slow-cooker bag into the crock pot

  • Rinse the corned beef and put it into the slow cooker

  • Add 2 cups of beef broth

  • Add 2 cups of water

  • Add one chopped onion

  • Add 1 can /2 full carrots

  • Add 2 cans/5 large potatoes

  • Add 1/4 cup parsley

  • Add 1/2 table spoon pepper

  • Add 2 bay leaves (optional)

  • Put on high for 5 hours

  • At 3 to 3.5 hrs of cooking add chopped cabbage

  • Continue cooking for the remaining time and serve.
